Visitor to Christianity.com:
I was responding to Osirica's Following statement. Clearly shows to me that Osirica believes that laying of hands is a sin. So I clarified that from Bible it is not sin. "Again, who healed Sarah, was it some guy on TV that put his hand on her? Was it some WOF preacher? No, it was God, directly."

Mat 9:18 While He spoke these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped Him, saying, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live." Mat 9:19 So Jesus arose and followed him, and so did His disciples.

Mark 16:15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. Mark 16:17 "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
Mark 16:18 "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

Here it is clear that Jesus Himslef used to lay hands on people and healed them and that's why He commanded His disciples to do the same thing. Laying hands on people and praying is not sin.

Mattumanu (Veteran and Moderator):
Luke 11:10 - do you honestly think that God meant to say "whatever they ask it will be given." no. What you misunderstand is that true faith in God puts you in harmony with God's will, not where your will (that you call faith) super-imposes itself over God's word.

Visitor to christianity.com:
Here is Luke 11:10 again
"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
1.) Jesus spoke these words
2.) It is word of God
3.) So yes I believe whatever is written there without any reservations.

Jesus believed that so why I should have problem believing that?
John 14:13 "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:14 "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Don't you see that Jesus said "Whatever you ask". Who are we to say that hey Jesus you don't know anything we know better. We don't see everyone's wish granted so please take back your words. Is that not what you are suggesting to Jesus that His words are not ture?

----------------------------------------------------
Note: Christianity.com people don't believe in Bible fully. They refuse to take the verses as it is. The moderator of christianity.com says, "whatever you ask it will be given" No. So do you think Jesus lied to His disciples? Jesus is not man to tell lies. No certainly not. Yea if you believe in less than 20% of the Bible and curse people and prophets of God it is possible that you may ask and receive nothing!!!
